You planned it for months. Every detail is now clear and you can´t wait to live the dream that you carefully crafted.
You can already see his tears of joy when he will first see you in the church; your first dance as husband and wife. Memories that will warm your heart ten years from now.

This is the reason why you hired a photographer. Unfortunately, often couples underestimate the importance of letting the photographer know about the program of your wedding day. Will you prepare yourself at home or in a hotel room? Will you throw the bouquet indoor or outdoor? How is the first look going to happen? This details matter.
Last week, on the wedding day they told me that the groom would prepare himself in a house with no electricity and no lights due to some renovation. I was about to shoot myself... and not with a camera. However, I was lucky enough to find a big window, and I suggested him to dress up close to it and got these beautiful and natural shots.
However, you might be not as lucky and choose the wrong settings for different moments of your wedding. In that case the photographer needs to know in order to be able to overcome some limitations.
The easiest way to do it is to meet the photographer when you have a clear idea of your wedding day. Show him the program and draft together a time-schedule that will help you stay on track when your mind will be too busy enjoying that day.

Write down WHEN and WHERE things will happen. Most importantly, talk about HOW things will happen. Having a little script will help the photographer to understand the scene and to build the perfect composition for your pictures.
